Families looking for a destination for Mother?s Day need look no further than the Village Green Resort and Gardens. The popular Cottage Grove resort will be offering movies, strolls through the gardens, a Mother?s Day brunch, live music and wine tasting Mother?s Day weekend. Mother?s Day Brunch will take place in the Seasons at the Green Restaurant on Sunday, May 10 from 9am to 2pm.The extensive buffet will feature a breakfast station with French toast and scrambled eggs Benedict; a carving station with prime rib and baked ham; a variety of fresh and seasonal salads; main dishes including grilled chicken with blood orange sauce and roasted pork loin with Hoisen BBQ over yakisoba noodles; and assorted pastries and desserts. Brunch costs $24.95 for adults, $21.95 for seniors, $14.95 for kids 6-12 and free for kids 5 and under. Price includes a complimentary mimosa for all mothers. After brunch, the family can stroll through the world-class Village Green Gardens, with 10 individual themed gardens, including the Bird Habitat, the Petite Tropicana, and the Twilight Garden. For those who want to treat Mom to a weekend of fun, a Mother's Day overnight package is available on May 9 that includes a room, tickets to Steel Magnolias, a flower basket, continental breakfast and tickets to brunch on Sunday.
