Honoring Vets, Celebrating Grads, an exhibit highlighting military uniforms and high school graduation dresses of the past, opens Sunday, May 22nd from 1:00-4:00 pm at the Cottage Grove Museum, 147 N H St., in Cottage Grove’s historic Northwest Neighborhood. Graduation dresses worn by 1905 Cottage Grove High School graduate Mae Anderson, 1909 Cottage Grove High School graduate Eunice Vandenburg, and 1939 graduate Hazel Nadine Rose Kelly, are on exhibit in the main museum building. Military uniforms from the past including the uniform worn by long-time Cottage Grove resident and U.S. Navy Yeoman Albert Palmer along with posters from WWI and WWII are on exhibit the museum annex. Admission is free but donations are encouraged. Light refreshments will be served.
