Margie Walsh and her friends are barely hanging on, faced with the reality that Southie, a Boston neighborhood they were born in, and never left, is providing them the same level of opportunity it always has: none. Laid off from her job at the Dollar Store and with no prospects and a possible eviction, Margie looks up an old fling who's made it out of Southie to see whether he might be the break she?s been looking for. Instead, she finds herself in the burbs, out of her element and facing questions of her past and her present. Nominated for a 2011 Tony Award for Best Play, Good People, by Pulitzer Prize-winner David Lindsay-Abaire, explores with affection and humor the struggles and unshakable hopes of the have-nots in America.?
