Description
Join OSU Extension 4-H and Small Farms programs for a full day of hands-on learning and fun! Field day activities will include: -Livestock biosecurity -Nutrition and feeding -Farm to table meat judging -Livestock vaccines and injections -Rope halter making At lunch, we will hear from a panel of industry professionals, giving participants time to ask questions about future jobs related to livestock and agriculture. This event is perfect for youth who own livestock or are interested in owning livestock, who want to know more about livestock careers, or who are just curious about the subject and want to know more. Lunch and snacks provided. No experience necessary. Open to all Lane County youth ages 9–18.
