Description
We will learn by oral repetition and direct experience, building relationships with the plants through hands-on projects. We will spend time every class outside in the garden and wild forest, learning to identify and ethically harvest the plants around us. We will focus on weeds in the garden and native plants in the forest, and will come away with a basic knowledge of the botanical skills to tell plants apart from each other, make home remedies, harvest and process herbs effectively, and increase our self-reliance in our day to day healthcare needs through plant medicine.
