Jason grew up in Cottage Grove until he attended college at Oregon State Majoring in Animal Science and Agriculture Education. Jason was a High School agriculture teacher for 3 years in southern Oregon before the economy made a huge down turn in 2008. He returned to the Cottage Grove area where he took over the family farm where he still lives today with is family, and in 2010 began a career in the Health Insurance Industry as a medicare insurance agent. In 2014 Jason created Oregon insurance company, an independent insurance agency specializing in health insurance, and uses his educational background to help people understand “what the health is going on”. There are so many programs and changes that happen every year it becomes very difficult for a lot of people to understand how that may affect them.
Jason will be discussing some changes that are happening and trends that will affect many people. In particular he will be spending time talking about a Chamber Member Only Association Group Health Plan that provides better benefits than a lot of groups can find in the open market. This is set to be a great benefit to any chamber member or business professional wondering how membership in the chamber of commerce can benefit them.
