SUMMARY:Opal- The Journey of the Understanding Heart
DESCRIPTION:To tell Opal's story in a way that could intrigue modern audiences\, we looked for a way to start telling this compelling story. As this show is a co-production with the Academy Arts and Academics\, we wanted to feature young adults and how they might react to researching this one-hundred year old story. The play will weave between scenes in a school classroom and the world of Opal. Using imagination\, projections\, music\, dance\, masks and storytelling\, we cover the highs and lows of her life while letting the audience experience her relationship to nature: "the fairyland around us".
