SUMMARY:May History Pub
DESCRIPTION:What a gift Curtis gave to us and all the generations that will come after. His collection of historic photos of our region was priceless. So grateful to have had the privilege to work with Curtis on multiple McKenzie history projects. He collection rivaled the Lane County Historic Museums collection. Jay Swofford\, presenter\, was born and raised in Wendling\, Oregon like his father before him. Throughout his life he learned the oral histories of the Mohawk valley\, from his father\, Curtis Irish\, Louis Polley and many others. For the last 20 years\, Jay has been a dedicated historian and expanding on the work of his mentors. Today he works to make that information available to as many as possible through online channels\, peer historians\, public presentations and our local museums.
