SUMMARY:Got Rhythm? West African Edition
DESCRIPTION:The Opal Center for Arts and Education and Music Money 501c3 are proud to present a series of cultural music concerts. Our mission with this series is to introduce a variety of culturally influenced music to residents of South Lane County. If successful\, this series will continue to offer a variety of cultural-themed events\, which could include dance\, poetry\, storytelling\, and art in addition to music. Our goal is twofold: we hope to increase awareness of cultural music and the artists that create it and to influence community unity among the diverse cultures that exist in our area. \n\n\n\nOn February 9th we will be hosting Fefafe- A West African dance and drumming group. \n\n\n\nThis series will invite local/regional musicians to share their cultural music in our 49 seat venue to audiences that do not always have access to a variety of culturally diverse music.\n\n\n\nTicket prices for each event will be $7 for adults\, $3 for 10-17\, and free for children under 10 with an adult. \n\n\n\nThis production is funded in part by a grant from the Lane County Cultural Coalition with help from the Oregon Cultural Trust.
