SUMMARY:Concerts in the Park 7/03: Greg Nestler
DESCRIPTION:Brought to you by the Cottage Grove Area Chamber of Commerce\, through sponsorship provided by Chamber Member Businesses.\n\n\n\n2019 Season Sponsor\n\n \n\ntogether with Supporting Sponsor\n\n\n\n \nGreg Nestler\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nInterweaving searing guitar and dynamic vocals\, Pacific Northwest singer-songwriter\, Greg Nestler and his band have been delivering their fiery blend of R&B/rock to audiences throughout the NW. A recent finalist of the 'Local Roots Music NW' 2019 songwriting contest\, Nestler's newest release\, Trouble (2018)\, is the latest studio album since his 2013 effort\, Duality (Nestler & Hawtin)\, which was produced by Bryan Bell and featured guest appearances from Ray Parker\, Jr.\, Freddie Washington (Steely Dan) and David K Mathews (Santana). Pulling from influences like Stevie Ray Vaughan and Jimi Hendrix to Bill Withers and Jonny Lang\, Nestler's live performances feature blistering blues guitar on a platform of quality crafted songs.\n\n \n\nNestler\, raised in Southeast Portland\, was first introduced to the musical arts at an early age through tap dancing. It wasn't until years later that he began exploring his love of blues guitar and R&B/soul music. After moving to Eugene to attend the University of Oregon\, Nestler began playing local venues with his songwriting duo\, Nestler & Hawtin. The duo were soon playing sizable festivals throughout the Northwest (Portland Rose Festival\, Bite of Seattle\, Bite of Portland\, Taste of Tacoma). \n\n \n\nWhether rocking with his band at a festival or playing solo at an intimate show\, Nestler guarantees audiences a compelling performance of his R&B/rock blended take on the modern singer-songwriter.
