A recent finalist of the &lsquo\;Local Roots Music NW&rsquo\; 2019 songwriting contest\, Nestler&rsquo\;s newest release\, \;Trouble \;(2018)\, is the latest studio album since his 2013 \;effort\, \;Duality \;(Nestler &\; Hawtin)\, which was produced by Bryan Bell and featured guest appearances \;from Ray Parker\, Jr.\, Freddie Washington (Steely Dan) and David K Mathews (Santana). Pulling from influences like Stevie Ray Vaughan and Jimi Hendrix to Bill Withers and Jonny Lang\, Nestler&rsquo\;s live performances feature blistering \;blues \;guitar on a platform \;of quality crafted songs.

\nNestler\, raised \;in Southeast Portland\, was first introduced to the musical arts at an early age through tap dancing. \; It wasn&rsquo\;t until years later that he began exploring his love of blues guitar and R&\;B/soul music. \; After moving to Eugene to attend the University of Oregon\, Nestler began playing local venues with his songwriting duo\, Nestler &\; Hawtin. \; The duo were soon playing sizable festivals throughout the Northwest (Portland Rose Festival\, Bite of Seattle\, Bite of Portland\, Taste of Tacoma). \;
